March 17 Severe Weather Closing

March 17, 2021

Bessemer City Hall and all public buildings of the city of Bessemer will close at noon today, Wednesday, March 17, 2021, due to the threat of severe weather in the state. Please sign up for weather alerts and notifications through the Jefferson County EMA. The city’s Storm Shelter is scheduled to open at 2 p.m. today or in the case, a Tornado Watch is issued for the area.
