The city of Bessemer will hold its annual Veteran’s Day Program on Thursday, Nov. 9, at 11 a.m. at the Old Bessemer City Hall Auditorium, located at 1800 Third Avenue North. Join us as we salute American veterans and first-responders. The speaker will be Mr. Ronnie Acker, retired Lieutenant Colonel with the U.S. Army. The Second Annual Veterans Resource Day- Connecting One Dot at a Time” will follow the program. Resource tables and vendors will be available for veterans and their families. Veteran’s Resource Day was started by the city’s Community Development Department in 2017 as a way to connect local veterans with agencies that offer them support.
