The city of Bessemer is requesting Statement of Qualifications from a qualified engineering firm to provide engineering, design and bidding review/inspection services for activities related to its Community Development Block Grant program. These CDBG activities involve capital projects including construction and repair of infrastructure. The award of the engineering contract is contingent upon the grant being funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Responding firms should be technically qualified and licensed to provide the design, inspection and bidding services for local, state and federally-funded projects.
