Cleo is very active in civic life. Cleo is a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and owner of King Enterprises, LLC.
Cleo is a member and former chairman of the Bessemer Public Library Board and a member of the Jefferson County Planning and Zoning Commission.
Cleo is also a former 2nd Vice President of the National League of Cities National Black Caucus of Local Elected Officials (NBC-LEO).
