Historic Preservation

The Bessemer Historic Preservation Commission, established by City ordinance, is tasked with identifying, protecting, and preserving Bessemer’s historic properties, resources, and districts.

• Members are nominated by the Mayor and appointed by the City Council.
  
• The Commission meets the fourth Tuesday of each month, unless otherwise noticed, at 5:30 p.m. at Bessemer City Hall.
