RENTAL AND UTILITY ASSISTANCE

Federally funded emergency rental assistance is now available for Bessemer City residents impacted by COVID-19. Residents who live in the City of Bessemer should apply in person at Bessemer Civic Center.

Who is Eligible?

•Household Income at or Below 80% of the area median income.
•At risk of experiencing homelessness

Qualify by meeting one of the following:

•Qualified for unemployment benefits.
•Experienced a reduction in household income.
•Incurred significant costs or household expenses increased.
