City of Bessemer holiday schedule
The city of Bessemer announces its schedule for the Christmas and New Year’s holidays. Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day are all holidays in the city of Bessemer. City offices will be closed on Friday, Dec. 22 to observe the Christmas Eve holiday. Offices will remain closed on Monday, Dec. 25 for Christmas Day. City offices will be closed on Friday, Dec. 29 in observance of New Year’s Eve and remain closed on Monday, Jan. 1, 2018 for New Year’s Day. The closings include offices of the Bessemer Recreation Center, the Bessemer Utilities and the Bessemer Civic Center. If your garbage collection falls on one of the designated city holidays, note your garbage will be collected on the next available collection day. The city of Bessemer wishes everyone a safe and enjoyable holiday season.
