The Bessemer Fire Department has long been recognized as a progressive, well trained department working everyday to provide the best service to our citizens. The Department provides fire prevention education programs to local schools, fire and medical emergency services, and participates in community activities. Bessemer Firefighters engage in continuing education programs in order to maintain certifications and provide the highest quality of service to the City of Bessemer.
